TEFL Course Participants go to the Fair!

We had a great time at the Huntington County 4-H fair today! Julie Hendryx, HU's Director of Human Resources, showed us around all the animal exhibits and treated us all to the world famous milkshakes. We also tried pork tenderloin sandwiches, snow cones, elephant ears, and salty popcorn. Since most popcorn in China is sweet, this was the first food that disappointed by being salty, not sweet. Even after sampling such amazing fair food, our guests seemed to be most impressed by the educational ideals of 4-H and the ways that American children learn through these experiences, not just in the classroom. Pretty cool day!
Our visitors are from a city of six million people so seeing farm animals up close was a first.  Sheep, cattle, hogs - we did not hold back!
Yum!  Nothing like your first Indiana pork tenderloin!
As the group enjoys a chocolate milk shake Charlie explains how elephant ears are made why we call them elephant ears.  Next was snow cones and popcorn.  When it comes to fair food you have to try it all - right?
Shoshanna explains American football as compared to soccer.  Jerry wanted the football on the spot.
